In partnership with Equal Development and the Kentucky Housing Authority, we teamed up to turn a difficult to develop wooded hillside into multiple building pads and parking lots to allow for the construction of much needed affordable housing in Northern Kentucky. Our work included rock excavation, crushing and mixing of interbedded limestone and shale to create structural fill, a 30′ tall Sierrascape retaining wall, thousands of feet of underground utilities, a Conspan Arch open bottom culvert, and creatively working with the project engineer on routing the storm and sanitary sewers down a 250′ elevation change from the site high up on the hillside to the existing mains located in the valley on KY17.
