Gateway Avenue, a City of Hamilton Road in the bustling area of multi-family residential and health care facilities is in a water pressure zone in need of a boost to provide optimum and redundant fire protection services the City residents deserve. The site was originally slated for an elevated water storage tank to accommodate the needs but was ultimately declined due to close proximity to the Butler Regional Airport and corresponding structure height restrictions. The alternative solution included the coordination, installation, and startup of a prefabricated booster pump station, four (4) 30,000 Gallon Hydropneumatic Tanks, stand-by natural gas generator with automatic transfer switch. The general site work included the construction of the permanent access roads, stie work, fencing, installation of water mains, natural gas service, electrical and communication services and lighting. The booster pump station included two (2) 50-HP Water Service Pump and three (3) 150-HP Fire Duty Service.
